Terminal File Updates

If 360 Payments has notified you of a change to your terminal file, follow the device-specific instructions below. If you have questions or problems with the download, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 855-360-0360 or via email at support@360payments.com!

PAX Devices

S300

  • Batch the terminal
    • From main screen press the F key and 1 at the same time
    • Password: 0000 – enter key
    • Select Host Settings
    • Enter Password – 0000
    • Scroll down for BATCH CLOSE
    • Select Batch close to close batch
  • Download the Update
    • Power cycle
      • Make sure terminal is connected to the internet – ethernet cable plugged into the red wire
      • Unplug the power cable so the machine powers down
      • Wait ten seconds
      • Plug the power cable back in
      • On boot up the terminal will do a health check then will check for updates
    • Manual Update (if the power cycle doesn’t work)
      • From main screen press F key and 1 at the same time
      • Password: 0000 – enter key
      • Press down key to show more options
      • System Setting
      • Press down key to show more options
      • App Management
      • App Update

  • Batch the terminal
    • If your terminal is integrated with a Shop Management Software or other POS
      • From main screen press the menu button (above the 3 key)
      • Password: 0000 – enter key
      • Scroll down for Host Settings
      • Scroll down for BATCH CLOSE
      • Select Batch close to close batch
    • If your terminal is NOT integrated
      • Func button
      • Batch
  • Download the Update
    • Power Cycle
      • Make sure terminal is connected to WIFI – wifi symbol in top right should be blue
      • Turn off terminal by holding the cancel key
      • Turn terminal back on and you should see the terminal downloading while it reboots
    • Manual Update (if the power cycle doesn’t work)
      • From main screen press the menu button (above the 3 key)
      • Password: 0000 – enter key
      • Press down key to show more options
      • System Setting
      • Press down key to show more options
      • App Management
      • App Update

  • Batch the terminal
    • From main screen press the enter and 1 at the same time
    • Password: 0000 – enter key
    • Select Host Settings
    • Enter Password – 0000
    • Scroll down for BATCH CLOSE
    • Select Batch close to close batch
  • Download the Update
    • Power cycle
      • Make sure terminal is connected to wifi
      • Power down the terminal by pressing and holding the cancel button
      • Wait ten seconds
      • Power the terminal back on by pressing the cancel button
      • On boot up the terminal will do a health check then will check for updates
    • Manual Update (if the power cycle doesn’t work)
      • From main screen press F key and 1 at the same time
      • Password: 0000 – enter key
      • Press down key to show more options
      • System Setting
      • Press down key to show more options
      • App Management
      • App Update

PX7/PX5

  • Batch the terminal
    • Press 1 and Enter at the same time
    • Enter Password – 1234
    • Scroll down for Host Settings
    • Password: 1234
    • Scroll down for BATCH
    • Select Batch close to close batch
  • Download the Update
    • Power cycle
      • Power down the terminal by unplugging the power
      • Wait ten seconds
      • Power the terminal back on by plugging the power back in
      • On boot up the terminal will do a health check then will check for updates
    • Manual Update (if the power cycle doesn’t work)
      • Press 1 and Enter at the same time
      • Enter Password – 1234 (If that doesn’t work try 0000)
      • System Setting
      • App Management
      • App Update

  • Batch the terminal
    • From the Main ‘POS Online’ Screen
    • Press the STAR in the middle of the screen
    • Manager Password 1234
    • Choose 0 for Settle Daily Batch
    • Manager Password 1234
    • This will close the batch and print out a report (if on a terminal with a printer)
  • Download the Update
    • OK (Green Button)

    • Ethernet
    • Full
    • TPN = Serial Number
    • It will ask Apply Updates? Yes
